Welcome to Eagles Landing!          Last Updated: February 26, 2008 Thanks so much for checking us out! For those of you searching hard for that weekend get away, a summer hideout, a prime river fishing hole, a sight seeing float, or just a peaceful retreat from the hustle of everyday life, you can relax now. You have found your place. We offer all of the above in a peaceful, private, and secluded setting. FYI: Eagles Landing is a family owned property. The cabins are the only commercial aspect. Once known as the “Thox Rock Farm,” the farm was given a new name upon transfer of ownership in the year 2000. As you will see, the name suits it well, as the property is home to numerous Bald Eagles that often grace the skies above the cabins, intent on the goings on below. Since the year 2000, numerous improvements, updates, and additions have been made. However, several of the original log cabins constructed over 100 years ago still remain and are consistently rented. In addition to the originals, we have added several new cabins with various floor plans for those desiring more modern amenities. Details on all cabins are listed below. Recreation Just a stones throw from any of our cabins, lies the Gasconade River. And subsequently, an abundance of recreational opportunities are available. The fishing is excellent! Smallmouth bass in our area is top notch but the largemouth and goggle eye are very deserving of acknowledgement as well. For those who enjoy cool weather gigging, you can take advantage of your cabin’s convenience during the fall/winter season, as the red horse, sucker, and carp are in abundance. Floaters & Boaters! Our area is great for canoeing and boating. There are several locations for floaters to put in up river depending on the length of float you prefer. The shortest being about four hours and the longest can take days. If you prefer to get there quicker or see more in a shorter time, jet boats are ideal and will allow you to travel up or down river for miles. Only a quarter of a mile down river from the cabins, the “Thox Rock” resides in the middle of the river. The “beach” as we call it, is there as well. It is primarily a sand shoal with huge bluffs towering above; it is truly a beautiful place to visit! Location/Directions: By Land Take I-44 Exit #179. It is just 4 miles West of Rolla, MO.. Drive West down the North outer road and turn right on C Highway. The cabins are located at the very end of C Highway on a private drive. C Highway is approximately 9 ˝ miles long and is a dead end highway. Access is private so please call ahead for viewing. Roads to the cabins are all asphalt with exception of gravel entrance. By Water We are located approximately 4 miles down river from the Department of Conservation access at Jerome, MO., on the south side or Phelps County side of the river. We are approximately 5-6 miles up river from Nagogami Resort. Picturesque Surroundings!!
